Crazy Craig

Naked Craig eating chips.

Naked Craig helping with the laundry

Naked Craig playing Lego's w/Connor.
I have one crazy little boy.  Keeping clothes on him can become a full time job in this house.  I thank goodness he does not strip in public!  He does keep us entertained when he is not in time out.  Connor has been teaching him Knock Knock jokes.  The only problem is Craig does not know how to do the punch line:

Knock knock (Craig)
Who's there (Connor)
Boo (Craig)
Boo Who? (Connor)
Knock Knock (Craig)

I can't stop laughing when they start this up.  Craig's speech and tones are developing more each day and the boy can follow directions like no ones business.  Amazes me I can ask for something and both Jim and Connor look at me like I'm from Mars and my Craigy will know exactly what to get.  He makes me laugh everyday, my crazy, crazy Craigy!
Cara loves Connor...she smiles as soon as she sees  him.
There were peaches in that before he decided to make it a hat.
Connor on 3/30/11 at the Learning Fair at school.
Another kids project...I love the first one of "What I know".
                                                        Cara enjoying the Learning Fair.
                                                       Practicing her drunk look
Craig having a tantrum on the gym floor.
Whoever thought two's were terrible must have
never had their kid make it to three. Ugh.

Snow again?

This has been one snowy winter...oh, did I say winter? It is Spring, right?  I guess someone forgot to tell Mother Nature for we had 5 inches fall last weekend and another 1/2 this morning.  I do have to say the wet, heavy snow sure makes it pretty.

Connor does it again!

Report cards came home today and Connor exceeded his grades from the last time.  He has improved to all Excellent for study habits and then scored Excellent in Math, Reading, Spelling, Social Studies, Science, Health, Art, Music and PE.  Only received 2 Satisfactory + and that was for English and Penmanship.  Mrs. Thomas then added:

"Connor continues to flourish.  He has made excellent progress this quarter.  He has really impressed me again even more this time with his reading and math improvements.  I am very proud of him"

I have to meet with his speech therapist next week and have already been told Connor most likely will no longer need his services.

Yah for Connor!!!

Ah....Can I tell you how much I LOVE Spring.  I LOVE that the trees are budding and flowers are blooming.  What a long dreary winter we had and so looking forward to days outside.  It is still in the 70's right now at 11pm on March 21.  Gotta love it!!!

Jim and I have been trying to figure out what to do w/our backyard.  We are in desperate need of landscaping for the dogs are wearing a path near our fence. It was in the mid 80's yesterday so we took advantage and went tree/shrub shopping.  We walked these kids to the max.  We then headed to Fazoli's and, much to my complete surprise, my 3 babies did GREAT!  I found out the secret to obedient children in a restaurant is to starve them before you go...who knew?

After we ate (and mind you WAY pass Craig's nap time) we headed to one more place and then decided to get the boys a snack for being so good.  After we checked out, there was an employee putting a display together when she dropped a piece of it.  Without being told, without hesitation, my little Craig went and picked it up and took it to her saying "here you go".  I have been beaming about this since.  He may be trouble but this kid LOVES to help and can follow directions better than his 7 y/o brother.  I was telling daycare about this today and she said she was not surprised for he is always trying to help her.  She also told me when Cara cries, he will stop and just look at her until she goes to get Cara.  What a big brother!!!  He made my heart sing this weekend!!

Connor has been dealing with a bad kid at school. Very long story and won't go into it here but this kid has pushed Connor down and then started stomping on his head and then this last week, this kid punched him in Connor's hip causing a very large bruise. I, of course, had to report this to the principal. She is not allowed to disclose kids punishments but Connor told me today that this kid has lost his recess for the remainder of the year. Very glad to see it was not taken lightly. And glad to see other kids learning bad will come if you act naughty.

                                           My favorite baby part...baby toes

Loves, loves, loves to be outside

Craig's new bed...just beautiful!!

We had a great visit with Grandpa and Grandma Bailliez. Always great to see them and have a good time. Connor is into games now so we played Trouble and Uno until late last night.
Craig spend his first night in his new bed and ROCKED! Slept all night long and when I checked on him this morning, he was in bed playing with all his cars.

Sunny and warm day in March

Could she be any cuter? (not that I'm biased by any means!)

New bed for Craig

Grandma and Grandpa Bailliez are coming down on Saturday and bringing Craig a present...a brand new bed and dresser! Grandpa B made it himself...Can't wait to see how it looks in person and how Craig responds (he is quite fond of his blue car bed). Pics to follow!

Cara, Cricket and I hanging out before bed. Yes, she is a new pup...we had to put Xanda down in November. She was filled w/cancer and bleeding internally. We had no idea. Up to the day she died, she was playing and acting normal. Jim and I were heartbroken so when Dory's breeder offered us Cricket, we could not refuse. She has been a wonderful addition to our family and quite frankly, keeps Dory occupied and active. Her and Dory are 9 months apart.

Valentine's day Jump Rope for Heart

My loves

Grandma Val and Cara...

Bad, Bad Blogger

I guess I am not good at this blogging thing but I am going to try again. I was using the Shutterfly one but I just did not like the format and could not figure out the picture issues...I need to keep this up for I am finding the kids doing new things all of the time that I need to write down for I am going to forget.

Life with three kids is amazing. I love the chaos. My house may look a wreck but I just don't care. My favorite part of the day is when I have all three in the Jeep as we are driving home.
Listening to Connor and Craig talk/sing and Cara cooing along...makes me smile.

Connor: First grade is coming to an end in a few months. He he doing GREAT. His reading skills kicked in overnight and there is no stopping him. What he can read amazes me. It is also great for we no longer need to read the instructions on the Wii games! Connor has finally lost 2 teeth and the big boy teeth are taking their place. It makes him looks so much older.

Craig: Crazy little man. SO CUTE!! Trouble as the day is long but has something about him that even in the worst of trouble, he can charm his way out. I swear he is going to think his name is Craig Ryan since he called that so often for being in trouble (Craig Ryan, where are your clothes? Craig Ryan, get that food to the table). He is getting his new big boy bed from Grandpa Bailliez next weekend. Very excited to have a grown up room. He has a fixation with Mario so thinking we may need to go shopping for some new bedding.

Daycare has him potty trained while there but he just won't do it here. I am going to kick it into high gear here upon the weather getting a bit nicer. He won't go if he is naked but has no issues peeing/pooing in his underwear. Between the 2 still in diapers and the puppy, I think all I do is clean up poo!

Cara: My love...I never knew what having a little girl would do to me/for me. She makes me smile even when she is screaming. She has definitely "my girl". As for looks, she resembles Craig right now. They are little twinkies; however, she has the size of Connor. Cara is in the 95% of her height and weight and off the charts w/head size (just like Connor). Craig, for comparison, is still sitting at the 10% of his age group.

Connor discovered just tonight that Cara now has her 3rd tooth! Cara seems to get her teeth just as Connor loses his so I am guessing Connor will have another loose tooth any day now.

Cara never touched baby food, she went straight to table food. It may have been the puree she did not like, who knows, but she has yet to finish a jar of baby food. She also continues to nurse which may have something to do with as well. She ran out of milk at school so she has her first taste of formula today. Daycare said she did really well and drank it all. May have her start mixing the two so see if the milk I have frozen will last us up to the one year mark. Never in a million years would I have thought I would still be nursing her at 8 months.
