01/14/10

I had my OB appointment today. I am measuring right at 15 weeks. My blood pressure remains good at 114/60; however, my issues w/high blood pressure usually start much later in the pregnancy. Dr. S. is hopeful that with me working from home my stress level will be a bit lower than when I was preggos w/Craig.

We decided to take another look today and even though her equipment is not as advanced as the imaging center, Dr. S. feels that I am carrying a GIRL!!! I have my big ultrasound on 2/2 and maybe we will get a "good" shot! :) My next OB appt is set for 2/11. Time seems to be moving right along.

I continue to eat everything I come into contact with but Dr. S. said I have only gained 3# so far so it obviously is not really affecting me. My staples have been salads, cucumbers, apples, and any kind of melon. I have also found a weird liking for sandwiches which have really not been my thing before. I have had 5 BLTs in the last 24 hours. I will go to bed feeling hungry and wake up hungry. It's like I am never full...Crazy!!

Speaking of crazy, I continue to be this way in all aspects. My supervisor is 34 and last year while she was pregnant, she started having night sweats and then broke out in a rash she could not get rid of. It was thought to be side affects of her pregnancy until she found a lump in her neck. Once biopsied, she was diagnosed w/non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Carter was born a month early and chemo started 5 days after he was born. She just finished her last treatment and I have really been thinking of her lately.

Well, I have started to have night sweats which I never had w/the boys. Then I noticed a rash on my chest. I let it go...then I felt this huge knot on the back of my neck near my hairline. I freaked out!! I ran to Jim and was like, OMG what is it, OMG OMG....He took a look and said "God that is a bit zit!" I told my OB this today and she literally started crying with laughter.

14 week preggo pic....holy smokes!!

Yah, yah...I know :)

Thanks Tori for keeping me on my game!

We had a wonderful Holiday and I loved being home with everyone for over a week. We were able to see family and play in the snow over Christmas when we were back home at my Dad's and Penny's house. Sleds, four wheelers and trails, who could ask for anything more?

I have no idea who reads this blog but as you most know, Jim and I are expecting baby K #3 in July. Quite the shock and surprise! I am 14 weeks along and have finally (sigh of relief) seen the end of morning sickness. I missed my check up last Thursday due to weather...Need to reschedule..I am hoping that Dr. Staten will give me the script to go have the big sonogram done in the next few weeks so I can find out what this babe is. I am CONVINCED with every inch of my being it is a girl (so it is most likely a boy) and very anxious to find out. Jim and I had a very brief discussion regarding if we wanted to wait to find out (Jim was very much NO) and I guess we kind of need to know for if it is girl, we have a lot of shopping to do.

I had also sold ALL of my maternity clothes and many baby items including pumpkin seats/bases and strollers. Thank goodness I am able to work from home so the clothes thing is not too important right now. Connor is in a booster and Craig is in a car seat that can also be for a rear facing infant so I think we are going to move Craig up to a bigger car seat that Connor just got out of and then move the baby into Craig's. I just hate buying all new stuff for just a few months; however, I have been looking on Craig's List every day for new items (I just LOVE Craig's List). I am also looking at getting a side by side double stroller and have seen a Peg Pergo that I really like.

My cousin Anjie is due the same time I am and kind of neat to read her pregnancy journal blog that is coinciding right with my pregnancy. I swear I have felt all kinds of flips and movement but have been "criticized" by a few people stating there is no way I can feel anything yet. Thank you Anjie for posting that you are having the same sensations! It should just be a few more weeks before I feel a jab. This is going to be the last pregnancy for me so I am going to take in each and every movement and jab.

Connor continues to do well in Kindergarten. He has a hard time staying on green light but I feel the reasons he is on yellow are just not enough to warrant punishment (talking, fidgeting, just being a 6 year old boy). He does VERY well with the academic part and Mrs. Herman tells us that he is great in math.

Craig is just a crazy little boy! Thank goodness he is so stinking cute!! He has not started to talk at all but figure that is just a 2nd baby syndrome. He loves his Wonder Pets and we have noticed that he is starting to mimic their sounds (Wheeeeeeee and Ring ring). He is a dare devil at heart with not one ounce of fear. Dr. Wangard told us that he is quite small for his age and by 18 months, you can usually tell if they are going to be tall as an adult and the conclusion is Craig is going to be a shorty...but this kid can pack away food! Amazing what he eats and when he gets hungry, neither Jim or I can get food to him fast enough. He hands down eats more than Connor.

Craig also started a new daycare in December. He is now at a home facility with a husband and wife team. I am dumbfounded by how much he is thriving and the change in his behavior just after a few weeks. Pat and Jack are amazing!! He used to be so darn grumpy after DC and now he is laughing, playing, being crazy Craig each and every day I pick him up. He does not want to leave and Jim says that Craig just runs right to Jack at drop off, no more tears or fits. Pat has also got Craig off his binky while there. However, as Jack told me, don't mess with Craig's blankie!!

I'm going to do my best to keep this more updated, especially after doctor appointments. We have a lot to look forward to this year: Baby in July, Becky's (my sis) baby due in March, Jim turns 40, my dad is going to retire, and our 10 year anniversary. We had intended to spend that day in Cancun getting remarried and the boys blessed into the marriage but I am not comfortable taking a newborn to Mexico and just don't know if the funds will be there. Everything happens for a reason and I am sure we will find another very cool way to celebrate what I consider a big milestone!
