Where oh where has summer gone? For the first time ever, I am not bummed over summer coming to an end. We have a ton of stuff to do that we are looking forward to.

Connor has his first Kindergarten field trip this Wednesday. The entire Kindergarten is going to Eckarts which is, at this time of year, an apple farm. I am wanting to go with them but work will dictate that this coming week. I am excited to get Craig out for these fall activities as well. He is SUCH an outdoor boy, I know he will just love the apple farm, fall festivals and of course pumpkin picking. We are already looking at Halloween costumes for that will sneak up before you know it (I'm leaning towards Star Wars). Then in November, we are heading to the Wisconsin Dells for a few days with Beck, Chad, Alex, Dad and Penny. Before you know it, it will be Connor's 6th b-day and the Christmas. For the first time ever, both Jim and I have taken the entire week off. I am very much looking forward to many days with no planned activity.

Day at the Zoo

We went to the STL Zoo on Sunday, 8.30.09. It was Craig's first time since he was an infant. He had a ball! My outdoor boy just loved it. Of course the big item of the day was the sting ray exhibit. So very cool to feed the sting rays!!

Connor's camping trip

Exploring a cave........................Good horse

Going underwater w/Grandma.........Let's ride!

Connor's Grandma and Grandpa Kielty have a camp site in Southern MO. Jim took Connor down for an overnight trip a few weeks ago. He had a really good time. As soon as Jim's mom and dad sell their house here in town, they are both going to retire and move into the camper (it is a VERY nice 5th wheel). Their plan is to stay there for a while until they can find some land to build on. However, Jim's dad changes direction every few minutes so we will see what they will actually do upon the house selling. For the time being, we have a great place to go visit!

First Day of Kindergarten

Connor and his daycare buddy Wyatt...just also happen to be neighbors and they both have Mrs. Herman.

Congrats to Lucas and Tori!!!

My neighbors Lucas and Tori had their second baby on 9.1.9...welcome Corbin Alexander! Big sister Reagan is going to eat him up!!
Connor is doing well in Kindergarten after a VERY rough start. He was not accustomed to all of the new kind of rules and it showed. He likes his new teacher Mrs. Herman. Open house is on Thursday so it will be fun to have Connor take me around his new school.

Craig is just one crazy kid. He is into everything, climbs everything, screams at everything, etc., etc. He moved to the toddler room at daycare the same week that Connor started Kindergarten. Craig has gone from sleeping when he wanted in a crib to one nap per day on a cot. I think Craig has just about all of his teeth in at this point. He just cut 5 in the last week/2 weeks. He still will not say "momma" but had "isha" down pat. He is also a fan of "uh oh". Craig is an outdoor kind of kid and is happiest when moving. Thank goodness he was my second!!

On family news, my sis is pregnant with her second baby. Due date is at the end of March 2010, just a few weeks before Craig's 2nd b-day.
